REPORT REVIEW
This service
is often performed in conjunction with AMA ratings, and provides
not only grammatical review, but review for compliance with Workers
Compensation laws and standards. As part of the many changes recently
experienced in the Workers Compensation system, many reporting
requirements have changed or require additional information. Our staff
is trained and up to
date on these changes, and we monitor the growing body of case law that
governs these requirements. Some examples of these changes affect apportionment
as set forth in Labor Codes 4663 and 4664, as well as understanding
and appropriately addressing the differences between causation and apportionment,
which is a fine but separate and important distinction. Other issues
are changes in vocational rehabilitation, making sure all required sections
of a report per the AMA Guides are included and adequately addressed,
and ensuring that correct Workers Compensation terminology is
utilized. Failure to complete these requirements
adequately or within the appropriate guidelines often results in a request
for
a supplemental report later to address this information.
